Shares had a good start on Monday thanks to the growth of real estate and insurance stocks.

The VN Index fell sharply by 3.5% from 24 February, which was the day the Russia-Ukraine war broke out.

Analysts from securities companies said that last week, investors traded cautiously, but the situation will improve as tensions between Russia and Ukraine are hoped to cool down, along with the Government's efforts to promote early disbursement of the public investment package.

Indices rose on Friday, with the market benchmark VN-Index marking a fourth day gain on blue-chip stocks.

The Vietnamese stock market closed Friday morning on a positive note, as bullish sentiment pushed stocks across most sectors slightly higher.

Viet Nam’s benchmark VN-Index remained in positive territory on Thursday but divergence widened among blue chips while some investors sought to seek profits in small- and mid-cap shares.
